The Bucket List

  • Elephant riding in Thailand. I hate riding horses so im slightly concerned I won’t like it, but you have to try it to say you will never do it again, right?
  • Helicopter ride over the Grand Canyon. Come on, this would be fantastic!
  • See Santa at Lapland and all the reindeers.
  • Tracking gorillas in Africa. Majestic, and it would be great to see them free.
  • A safari. I dont care where. It just appeals.
  • Go to Niagara Falls.
  • Skydiving in the UK.
  • Crowd surfing at a festival. Preferably Coachella.
  • Join the Mile High Club. LOL.
  • Virgin Space Flight.
  • Ride a hot air balloon.
  • Drive the Nurenburg race track.
  • Swimming with dolphins. Apparently they feel like a boiled egg!
  • Jacuzzi and then diving into a plunge pool. Might as well do this in Iceland!
  • Go to Venice.
  • Las Vegas!!!
  • New York City. The Big Apple is a place you have to go before you die, and I intend to.
  • Holding a snake. I am the least brave person but I think I need to do this.
  • Snorkelling with wildlife.
  • New Year’s Eve abroad. Sydney, New York, a tent in the middle of nowhere… I just think it would be an experience.
  • Camping in the Grand Canyon.
  • The Taj Mahal.
  • Ayres Rock.
  • Take a yacht ride through Monaco and San Tropez.
  • Visit Mount Rushmore
  • Snorkel in Fiji.

  3. Since you obviously care about wildlife, maybe you won’t like the elephant riding in Thailand? I haven’t done it, but everyone I know who has is upset by the way the elephants are treated. They all say that to connect with elephants you should go to one of the rescue centers, where the ones which have been saved live more normal lives.

  6. Your list is really great. I see that there are not many winter destinations with snow and ice.

What about to visit World’s biggest snow castle. Of course there is snow hotel, ice bar and chapel. If needed one can get married in chapel.

This is an experience if a night is spent in snow hotel.

    Happy and safe travel!

  14. It’s uncanny how similar some of our list items are!! I am just about to write about our trip to the Grand Canyon. I did a sky-dive here in the UK 2 months ago (out of interest why do you want to do it in the UK and not somewhere tropical)… I also just did a wing-walk a few weeks ago (just about to write about that too)! That was the best thing I’ve done so far… I was supposed to be zorbing today, but the weather conditions weren’t good enough and I’m going to V Festival next week… Working through my list rather quickly… I think writing your list down does motivate you to do that πŸ™‚ This is the post where I wrote about my sky dive

  23. You will love elephant riding in Thailand. You might want to hike into Havasu Canyon while you’re in Arizona. Stay at the Algonquin Hotel in New York, where Matilda (or Hamlet), the lobby cat will greet you. Consider adding northern California.

    Great list! Happy travels!

I would definitely recommend trekking with the Mountain Gorillas in Rwanda. They have a very good preservation system in place to keep poachers away from the gorillas on the Rwandan side, and although it’s a bit expensive ($500 for the permit) it’s definitely worth it. One of the most amazing experiences of my life. Also, if you’re in that part of Africa, you might as well white river raft on the Nile in Jinja. Also a total blast.
